Calshot Youth Ski

Calshot Youth Ski Club is operated independently of Calshot Activities Centre but uses their slopes. A revolutionary new surface covers the slopes making them easy to ski on and softer to fall on. With lifts and floodlights, this is an excellent environment to learn the basics and develop new skills.

About the Club

Calshot Youth Ski Club is operated independently of Calshot Activities Centre but using their ski slopes.

Aimed at those aged 7 – 16, we are an ideal club for anyone wishing to learn or improve their skiing. We can also take young people who have completed either the Burners, Fast Track or Improver courses at Calshot Activities Centre. It is also suitable for those looking for a course longer than 3 or 6 weeks, or going on a ski holiday with school, family or friends. Please enquire if under 7. Over 16? We are always looking for young people 15+ wishing to train as ski instructors.

Past members have gone on to race in Junior Squads at home and abroad, joined the Club’s instructional team and gained BASI qualifications.

Our season starts after the October half term and continues until the following Easter, excluding school holiday weeks. We meet on Thursdays from 7.00pm – 8.00pm for a total of around 20 meetings. Membership is for a minimum of approximately six weeks. Non-skiers should join at the start of either November or January. It may be possible to join at other times if you can complete at least a basic turn. Please contact cyski@btinternet.com

Benefits

We celebrate progress made with Snowsport England’s Snowlife Awards and by holding ski races from after the February half-term until the end of the season. Slalom racing is an opportunity to end the season with a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal!

The Club is popular, with membership spaces often quickly filled.

Every evening is fun, so why not come along and join us!
