Who Can Apply?
- Affiliated Club Chairmen on behalf of their Club.
- Associate Club Chairmen on behalf of their Club.
- Associate Junior Club Chairmen on behalf of their Club.
- Volunteer Club Representatives where the applicant can demonstrate that the funds will be applied locally.
- Calshot Activities Centre wanting funding for one-off small projects.
Who Can’t Apply?
- Individual Club Members.
- A Volunteer Organisation raising funds for national distribution.
- Any campaigning group (CPRE, Friends of the Earth, etc)
- Any pressure group formed solely for one issue.
What is Not Funded?
- Individuals.
- Any expenditure coverable by insurance.
- Membership Fees.
- Multiple applications per Club throughout the grant period
Funding
- The grant scheme is open annually from 1st May until the last day of the following February.
- The CWACS Small Grant Fund annual budget will not exceed £3,000.
- Applications will be considered by the CWACS Officer Group and Authorised by the CWACS Executive.
- Consideration will be given for larger grants where there is a wider community benefit to the club/organisation applying. For example, improving facilities at Calshot Activities Centre.
Conflicts of Interest
Members of the CWACS Officer Group who will consider applications must declare any Personal Interest (including full details of the nature of any such interest) in a grant application so that the Executive Members approving the grant are aware of that interest. Executive Members may not take part in approving any Grants that affect them directly.
If a Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest (DPI) in any matter under consideration that might reasonably be regarded as affecting the well-being or financial position of the Member, his/her family or person with whom the Member has a close association, the Member should take no further part in the matter, other than to give further relevant information that may help in the determination of the application.
